Joe Rogan (Joseph James Rogan Jr., born August 11, 1967) is an American podcaster, UFC color commentator, comedian and actor from Newark, New Jersey. Comedian Joe Rogan started stand-up in the Boston area in 1988, played Joe Garrelli on the NBC sitcom NewsRadio (1995–1999) and hosted Fear Factor from 2001 to 2006 and again in 2011–2012. The Joe Rogan podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, launched in 2009 and has been the most-streamed podcast on Spotify since 2020. He has released 11 comedy specials, most recently Burn the Boats (Netflix, 2024), and in 2023 opened the Comedy Mothership club in Austin, Texas, where he lives.
