Dan Soder is the stand-up comedian fans know as Mafee on Billions and as the host of the Soder podcast. He taped his first full-length Netflix special in 2026. He is based in New York City and grew up in Aurora, Colorado.
Onstage he works like a storyteller: conversational, self-deprecating, and built around the kind of everyday mess that still lands as a crafted bit.
His specials include Not Special (Comedy Central, 2016), a half-hour on Netflix’s The Standups (2017), the HBO / Max hour Son of a Gary (2019, directed by Chris Storer), and the YouTube hour On The Road (2024). He taped a full-length Netflix special on June 13, 2026 at the Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, California (San Francisco Bay Area). A release date has not been announced.
From 2015 to 2023 he co-hosted SiriusXM’s The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson. He hosts Soder. He is also on The Regz with Robert Kelly, Luis J. Gomez, and Joe List.
On Showtime’s Billions he plays Dudley “Mafee.” Other credits include Netflix’s Paradise PD, Max’s Fired on Mars, Inside Amy Schumer, Guy Code, Comedy Central’s The Half Hour, Conan, @midnight, and the films Trainwreck and Drunk Parents.
On July 25, 2026 he played Just For Laughs Montréal at Club Soda. See tour dates →
